We should stand as much as China: Foreign minister S Jaishankar | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: With Indian and Chinese troops locked in a protracted army stand-off, international minister S Jaishankar instructed TOI in an interview on Saturday that “reaching an equilibrium with China is not going to be easy and India must stand its ground”.
Making it clear that resolving tensions on the LAC was essential, Jaishankar instructed Indrani Bagchi, “The state of the border and the future of our ties (with China) cannot be separated. That is the reality.”
India’s relationship with the US, too, is altering because the latter is altering the best way it offers with the world, in keeping with Jaishankar, who believes India is nicely positioned right here, and regardless of not being a conventional ally of the US, is adapting nicely to the brand new realities.
The international minister stated ties with China had been bilateral in nature and it will be an entire misreading of the Indian place to learn them within the context of India’s relations with the US.
