Accor appoints Puneet Dhawan as senior VP, operations for India and South Asia, Jean-Michel Cassé retires


NEW DELHI: Accor introduced the appointment of Puneet Dhawan as senior VP, operations for India and South Asia on Tuesday. Dhawan will take over from Jean-Michel Cassé, chief working officer (COO), India and South Asia as Cassé departs for his retirement, the hospitality chain stated in a press release.

Dhawan’s appointment could be efficient August 1, 2020.

Accor stated Dhawan will deal with the group’s operations and methods to make sure Accor’s development momentum in India and South Asia. He will probably be reporting to Garth Simmons COO, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and South Asia.

Dhawan has been with Accor for over 20 years and has held key positions throughout nations corresponding to Australia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, the UAE and the Philippines.

Michael Issenberg, chairman and CEO Accor Asia Pacific stated Dhawan will contribute immensely in fortifying Accor’s place in India and South Asia. “Being nicely conversant with Accor’s dedication with its company and house owners, we’re sure that he’ll bolster our core choices and additional outline our footprint within the world hospitality business.”

Dhawan holds a resort and restaurant administration diploma from Switzerland, and a resort, restaurant and journey administration diploma from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst within the United States.
